The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field in Grindavík on the Reykjanes Peninsula, southwestern Iceland. The lagoon is a man-made lagoon which is fed by the water output of the nearby geothermal power plant Svartsengi and is renewed every two days

Day 2: Golden Circle & Þingvellir

We start the day with a visit to the Golden Circle: The Geysir area with gushing geysers especially Strokkur, which erupts every 10 minutes; the majestic waterfall of Gullfoss;

and the rift valley between the American and European geological plates at Þingvellir. We continue to Stykkisholmur and check in. After check in, the group can go for a walk around the hotel and by the harbour to watch the sun at the horizon at midnight. Overnight stay will be in Stykkisholmur.

The Golden Circle is a popular tourist route in South Iceland, covering about 300 km looping from Reykjavík into central Iceland and back. It takes in three popular attractions all within 100km of the capital: Þingvellir, Geysir and Gullfoss.

Day 3: Latrabjarg & Dynjandi

After breakfast we start the day’s adventure with the morning ferry to the Westfjords. Visit the Latrabjarg bird cliffs, the best place in Iceland to get close to the puffins. Drive to Isafjordur stopping to visit the Dynjandi waterfall. Dynjandi, is one of Iceland’s most impressive & majestic waterfalls. It is part of a tier of 7 waterfalls, each with their own name. The top tier is called Dynjandi which means “thunderous”. Enjoy beautiful views of the stunning landscape on the

way & take the short & easy hike to the top. Go on a midnight sun tour lat evening to the top of Bolafjall Mountain, Skalavik beach and the lighthouse in Bolungarvik. Overnight stay will be in Isafjordur.

Set in the midst of three breathtakingly beautiful mountains, the town of Isafjordur is a great place to experience life in the remote Westfjords. There's plenty to explore - a charming city centre, the busy harbour, several museums and great restaurants.

Day 4: Kayaking and Vigur island

In the morning go kayaking on the fjord around Isafjordur. It is a 2-hour beginner level tour, if you are totally not up for Kayaking you could go on a1.5-2 hour culture walk around town. In the afternoon we go on a boat tour to Vigur Island, where you can see more puffins and enjoy coffee and cakes at the home of the island's only inhabitants. There is also the smallest post office in Europe. The boat ride has opportunities to see many sea birds and even seals and whales. Overnight stay will be in Isafjordur.

Day 5: Isafjardardardjup & Grimsey

Drive along the fjords of the Isafjardardjup to Strandir, stopping on the way at the Hvitanes seal cape and Litlibaer turf house for the best waffles in Iceland. In the afternoon embark on a boat tour to Grimsey Island to see more puffins. Overnight at Hotel Laugarholl in Strandir area.

The turf-building technique in the island nation is unique in that it was used for all economic classes and for all types of buildings. Icelandic turf houses were the product of a difficult climate, offering superior insulation compared to buildings solely made of wood or stone.

Day 6: Reykjavik

Today, we check out and drive for 4 hours from Grimsey to Reykjavik with a stop at Grabrok on the way. We break in the middle to have lunch. Later, we proceed for the guided tour of Reykjavik; the world’s most northerly capital combines colorful buildings, eye popping design loaded with captivating art, rich culinary choices and cool cafes and bars. We have an early dinner today, between 6 PM – 8 PM, as we have some relaxed time here, so you can indulge yourself in coffee and drinks.

On our way back to airport, you can do a little bit of exploration of Reykjanes peninsula, Gunnuhver hot spring and geothermal area along with Reykjanesviti lighthouse as it looks beautiful in the evening sun. We will be dropped off at the airport around 22:30 for our flights back home.

In many ways Reykjavík is strikingly cosmopolitan for its size. After all, it's merely a town by international standards, and yet it's loaded with excellent museums, captivating art, rich culinary  choices, and funky cafes and bars. Add a backdrop of snow-topped mountains, churning seas and crystal-clear air, and you, like many visitors, may fall helplessly in love, returning home already saving to come back.
