The lagoon is a man-made lagoon which is fed by the water output of the nearby geothermal power plant Svartsengi and is renewed every two days

Day 2: Golden Circle & Þingvellir

We start the day with a visit to the Golden Circle: The Geysir area with gushing geysers especially Strokkur, which erupts every 10 minutes; the majestic waterfall of Gullfoss;

and the rift valley between the American and European geological plates at Þingvellir. We continue to Stykkisholmur and check in. After check in, the group can go for a walk around the hotel and by the harbour to watch the sun at the horizon at midnight. Overnight stay will be in Stykkisholmur.

The top tier is called Dynjandi which means “thunderous”. Enjoy beautiful views of the stunning landscape on the

way & take the short & easy hike to the top. Go on a midnight sun tour lat evening to the top of Bolafjall Mountain, Skalavik beach and the lighthouse in Bolungarvik. Overnight stay will be in Isafjordur.

Later, we proceed for the guided tour of Reykjavik; the world’s most northerly capital combines colorful buildings, eye popping design loaded with captivating art, rich culinary choices and cool cafes and bars. After all, it's merely a town by international standards, and yet it's loaded with excellent museums, captivating art, rich culinary  choices, and funky cafes and bars. Add a backdrop of snow-topped mountains, churning seas and crystal-clear air, and you, like many visitors, may fall helplessly in love, returning home already saving to come back.
