China, an ancient, mysterious and beautiful land, is always appealing to visitors. As the third largest country in the world occupying an area of 9,600,000 sq km. A wide variety of terrain and climate shape its numerous natural attractions. Abundant in a variety of resources, plants, animals, and minerals, the land has nurtured countless generations of Chinese people. China is often considered the longest continuous civilization, with some historians marking 6000 B.C. as the dawn of Chinese civilization. It also has the world’s longest continuously used written language.

DAY 1: BEIJING

Arrive at the Beijing Capital International Airport and transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. In the evening we meet to have our first dinner together.

Beijing is the capital of People's Republic of China and also its second largest city after Shanghai. It was also the seat of the Ming and Qing dynasty emperors until the formation of a republic in 1911. Beijing is the political, educational and cultural centre of the country and as such it is rich in historical sites and important government and cultural institutions.


DAY 2: BEIJING

A full day city tour of Beijing - we visit the Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum, it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Rectangular in shape, it is the world's largest Palace complex and covers 74 hectares. We then visit the Temple of Heaven. In the evening we enjoy a Kung Fu show.


DAY 3: BEIJING _ XI’AN

An early start to the day for a 3-hour visit to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China, where we will ride a cable car. After lunch we will head to the Beijing Zoo to see its most famous inhabitant – the Panda Bear. In the evening we will have time for doing some shopping in Beijing, before boarding our overnight train to Xi’an.

Mighty army of terracotta warriors and horses, found in three vaults, is perhaps the most popular tourist attraction of Shaanxi and one of the most popular in all of China.


DAY 4: XI’AN

Transfer to the hotel from the train station. Please note that we may not get the hotel room early in the morning, but later post lunch is more likely. Post brunch we visit the world famous terracotta army of Xi’an.


DAY 5:XI’AN – SHANGHAI

A full day city tour of Xi’an including Old City Wall a􀅶d Big Wild Goose Pagoda. In the evening we board the Pagoda express train to Shanghai. Dinner will be on the train at your own cost (if you wish you can buy a McDonalds or KFC meal at the station). This is an overnight train journey.


Xi'an is more than 3,000 years old and was known as Chang'an in ancient times. For 1,000 years, the city was the capital for 13 dynasties, and a total of 73 emperors ruled here. Xi'an is the undisputed root of Chinese civilization having served as the capital city for the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties.


DAY 6: SHANGHAI

On arrival we will transfer to the hotel and check in (this is subject to room availability as we arrive before check in time). A city tour of Shanghai - we will see Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, Old City. You can optionally visit the top of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower& Jinmao Tower –Admission is $35 approximately per person for each tower.


DAY 7: SHANGHAI

We will do a 2 hours excursion of Tongli – the Watertown. In the afternoon will be back in Shanghai’s Xintiandi area. You will have free time to explore & shop & have dinner on your own.

Water Town - The picturesque Zhu Jia Jiao is a classic water village, over 400 years old with a signature five-arch bridge spanning the Cao Gang River. Zhu Jia Jiao was an important town for local trade, shipping goods in and out of its manmade canals to the river. After about 40 minutes drive from the city, you will arrive at Zhujiajiao-the Ancient Water Town. Its main street is lined with quaint shops and restaurants serving local favourites.


DAY 8:SHANGHAI – INDIA

After breakfast visit shanghai museum followed by some shopping opportunity. Chinese lunch at leisure then transfer to the Shanghai International Airport will be by Maglev train – one of the fastest in the world! (Maglev takes 7 minutes and 20 seconds to complete 30 Kms at a record speed of 431 Kms per hour.) On reaching the airport you will proceed to check in for your return flight to India.
